Fix Google Play Store No Connection Error on Android 4.0 and 4.1
Troubleshooting tips and older Google Play APK links for compatible devices.
Are you seeing the “No Connection” error in Google Play Store on an older Android phone? This issue can be related to network connectivity, incorrect date and time, account synchronization, or outdated Google components.
The steps below are intended for troubleshooting older Android devices, including Android 4.0 and 4.1. Because these versions are obsolete, some Google services may no longer work reliably, even after troubleshooting.
How to Fix the Play Store Connection Error
Connect your phone to a working Wi-Fi network or mobile data. Open a website in your browser to confirm that the internet is available.
Go to Settings > Apps or Application Manager > Google Play Store > Storage, then tap Clear Cache. If necessary, try Clear Data too. This may reset the app's local settings.
Verify that your Google account is signed in correctly and that account synchronization is working as expected.
Open Settings > Date & Time and check the date, clock, and time zone. Enable automatic date and time if your phone supports it.
An outdated or incompatible Play Store or Google Play Services version may cause connection errors. Check the APK requirements before installing another version.

Important Security Notes
- Android 4.0 and 4.1 are outdated, and current Google services may not fully support them.
- Do not assume an APK is compatible based only on its filename or listed version.
- Installing an incompatible Google Play Services package can cause additional application errors.
- Only install APKs from sources you trust, and avoid granting unnecessary permissions.
- If your device supports a newer Android version, consider upgrading through an official update where available.
If the “No Connection” error continues after trying these steps, the cause may be discontinued service support or incompatibility with older system components. Installing another APK is not guaranteed to fix the problem.
